International Physicians For The Prevention Of Nuclear War (IPPNW)

The International Physicians for the Prevention of Nuclear (IPPNW) are a non partisan federation of medical groups in 63 countries. They represent thousands of doctors, medical students and other health workers that share the same goal of creating a more secure and peaceful world.

IPPNW affiliates are non national medical organisations with a common commitment to the abolishment of nuclear weapons and the prevention of nuclear war.

IPPNW was founded in 1980 by physicians from the united states and soviet union who were both concerned about the threat of nuclear war between their two countries.

Citing the first principal of medical profession that doctors have an obligation to prevent what they cannot treat, a global federation of physician experts came together to explain the medical and scientific facts about nuclear war to policy makers and the general public. Their goal is the elimination of all nuclear weapons from the entire world arsenals.

This is an organisation that perhaps is not the most established or well know organisation in the sector but they do just have one aim and that is of nuclear disarmament. This organisation would suit my brief and the message of its content very well.
